American Chestnut Tree Tube Maintenance -- Pleasant Grove Park, Palmyra

We will be doing tree tube maintenance on some 60 Chestnut trees that were planted on a lawn area in the park. We will be weeding around and in the tubes, securing the stakes, cable ties and netting and mulching around the base of the tubes. Please bring a bucket for tools and debris, hand mattock or cultivator, knife (to cut tubes if necessary), hammer, hand pruner, pliers to tighten tree tags and gloves. The park address is 271 Pleasant Grove Drive, Palmyra, VA 22963. There is ample parking. Bring something to drink we will provide snacks.
