We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes listening to your feedback, and we’re excited to announce upcoming improvements to our milestone system! These updates are designed to give greater flexibility when setting up milestones and deliver a better user experience for both administrators and volunteers.

This update includes changes to the interface for a better user experience, as well as introducing new functionality. 

This update launches to select sites in August. Join the early access list here! After the early access phase, we will roll out the new interface to all remaining sites over the coming months.

New Functionality

Multiple time periods: Organizations can now set custom timeframes for individual milestones. This makes it easy to track goals across different schedules, such as monitoring an annual requirement while tracking multi-year cumulative hours.

 
Fixed time periods: In addition to recurring milestones that reset automatically, you can now set custom, non-repeating timeframes. This is perfect for tracking goals with flexible or shifting schedules, such as semesters or trimesters.

 
Mark Milestones as 'inactive': Sites can now mark milestones as ‘inactive’ to remove them from the main volunteer dashboard. This allows you to update active requirements without altering or distorting historical report data.

Detailed Milestone View: Auditing volunteer hours just got simpler. Volunteers and admins can now access a dedicated page to filter submissions by milestone, providing complete visibility into how hours are applied across requirements. 

Volunteer & Milestone Report: Track individual volunteer progress all in one place. This new report allows organizers to view every assigned milestone and its current status by volunteer. 

Volunteer View: Volunteers will see the milestone update on their timesheet. Tags will show them which milestones their hours apply to, and they can click the eye icon on each milestone to see the specific hours applied. The update will also tell volunteers how many hours they have above and beyond a certain milestone goal!
