Hocus Pocus 2025

Join the Sanderson Sisters on S. Main Street (between Central Ave & 1st Ave) in Downtown Middletown for the 9th annual Hocus Pocus Family Fall Festival. The event is open to the public from 2pm - 7pm on October 12. Families will enjoy Hocus Pocus themed fun, which may include: food & craft vendors, dance troupes, rock wall, Binx the cat, music, kids crafts and more!

This event wouldn't be possible without a team of wonderful volunteers just like you! Check out our volunteer opportunities below and choose the job that would work best for you and your schedule!

Please note, you CAN work multiple shifts! Sign up for as many as you'd like. Can't help for an entire shift? Sign up for a similar shift and then message Heather to let her know the times you can help. If you have questions, please contact Heather: heather@downtownmiddletown.org or 513-368-8443.

Set Up

Set up tents, hay bales, decorate, hang signs, etc.

Vendor Coordinator

Mark vendor spots; meet vendors when they arrive; assist with questions; check with vendors throughout event (you will have free some free time during the event, after set up is complete); thank vendors for participating

For those who aren't early risers but still want to help get everything ready before the event starts - hanging banners, popping up tents, placing haybales, setting up games, hanging banners, etc...We may finish before 2pm

Assist with arrival and parking of cars for the Creepy Car Show

Help at the DMI info table, inflatable axe throwing, roller racers, a game, craft, etc.

Entertainment Manager (Sanderson Sisters)

Manage the Sanderson Sister's time during meet and greets; cut the line when they need a break or are about to perform; check on Binx (and his owner) periodically; may help direct other entertainment like dance troupes and magician

Movie Monitor

Keep an eye on children while they watch the free screening of Hocus Pocus. You may need to monitor restroom breaks, settle rowdy kids, tidy up after the movie, etc.
