Academic Decathlon debate judges **NO experience necessary **

The debates will be held at Esperanza College Prep located at 414 S Atlantic Blvd, East Los Angeles

Judges need to be there from 8:30am to 1:00pm , on Saturday 4/25/26. THIS EVENT IS WORTH 5 PARENT HOURS
18 or older... no current students

It is easy: you get teamed up with veteran judges who give you the quick rundown on how to judge (there is a paper that outlines what you are looking for in each category)
You judge with 1-2 other judges in the same room.
The kids are adorable and it is fun to see them
Parents of 9th-11th graders get a real inside peek at how these things are judged so they can better help their kiddo for the next year.
Tip: Bring a big water bottle.
