Build an Ice Rink for the Middle School
As soon as the weather freezes before or after Winter Break, we need 2-4 adults to help build our ice rink.
Step one: level the area in Walker Field, shift woodchips, spread woodchips. Approximately 1-2 hours
Step two: install side walls, and straps. Approximately 1 hour. (Sidewalls and plastic are located in the shed in the Games area near the entrance, straps are located in the trailer)
Step three: Lay out plastic and repair holes if needed. (use clear tape)
Step four: fill with water- This takes the longest. It would be possible to do this part of the process during school hours with the help of staff. (Approximately 4 hours) The hose may freeze if the weather is too cold.
