Westside School (PS–8th grade) draws on many teaching methods to anchor learning through doing. On any given day, students might be working in labs, down by our local watershed, or building neighborhood micro-libraries and micro-pantries. Creativity is central: as students progress, learning becomes increasingly project-based, and by eighth grade many use writing, theater, and graphic arts as tools for critical inquiry. We're building purposeful global citizenship—so students graduate with a strong academic core, ten years of World Language study, and deep engagement with the arts and natural world.
