About

Founded in 1995, The Rich Center for the Study and Treatment of Autism is an externally funded organization of Youngstown State University, meaning we don’t receive financial support from the University.

Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families through the creation, use, and enhancement of innovative and educational programs specifically designed to assure the attainment of a life of dignity and to enhance the individuals’ opportunity to achieve his or her full potential.

Currently, 76 children, age 2.5-19, are enrolled. Their year-round education, therapy, and support is provided tuition-free thanks to state funding, grants, individual and corporate donors, and fundraising events.
