Note: The 2025 PE hours requirement is 6 PE hours.
PE hours come from direct contact with the public: AAMG tables, AAMG online, SCAT events, teaching classes or as docents at approved garden tours. No travel time can be submitted for PE hours; travel time only applies to OS volunteer time. No more than 3 PE hours can be submitted for non-SFEMG activities (like the Botanical Garden).
If you meet your annual PE hours and still need OS hours, submit hours as OS and add a note in the note field.
Note: Travel time over 30-minutes one way to and from EMG activities (reported in 30-minute increments), may be reported as OS hours. Travel time does not qualify as CE or PE and cannot be used to complete the minimum SFEMG requirements.
