Nationwide there is a serious shortage of well-trained secondary STEM educators, and a lack of diversity among the teaching population as a whole. Through the support of the NSF Robert Noyce STEM Teacher Scholarship and Stipends Program (NSF 1660506) Metropolitan State University of Denver, a leader in the preparation of teachers and education of underrepresented students in Colorado, provides equitable STEM teaching and learning through innovative curricula and comprehensive support services.
