Nationwide there is a serious shortage of well-trained secondary STEM educators, and a lack of diversity among the teaching population as a whole. Through the support of the NSF Robert Noyce STEM Teacher Scholarship and Stipends Program (NSF 1660506) Metropolitan State University of Denver, a leader in the preparation of teachers and education of underrepresented students in Colorado, provides equitable STEM teaching and learning through innovative curricula and comprehensive support services.

Program highlights include:
Scholarships for STEM majors pursuing secondary teacher licensure
Recruit and prepare STEM majors to teach in high-need schools
Establish an innovative induction program for Noyce U-STEM Teachers
Online resources and tools
Support for STEM students by a Student Success Professional
Professional development for partner school mentor teacher
