Casting Bread Market & Cafe

Casting Bread was founded as a closet-sized pantry in 2006 and is now blessed to feed thousands of people annually. In our free, self-choice Market, people choose foods they want, rather than a pre-selected box. Meals served in the Café are prepared using food from the Market and seek to model healthy eating habits. As a community kitchen, all are welcome. The Bakery prepares tasty loaves of bread for sale at the King Street market nine months a year.

Casting Bread was able to distribute over 230,000 pounds of food, increase food security in over 1,100 households and provide more than 3,200 meals in our soup kitchen during 2019. Each week, donations from businesses and individuals, along with the work of dozens of volunteers who served more than 15,000 hours last year, make Casting Bread who we are today.
