Bark and Wine Volunteer hours
Saturday, October 07 2023
BDAR asked if we had any individuals who would like to volunteer. Please reach out to mhornbeck@lclsonline.org if you have any questions.
will assist with check-in and out (not all 5-6 need to stay for check-out, usually we only need 2-3); these volunteers will arrive around 4:30 for a quick training on the check-in software, and our happy hour starts at 5:30.
will assist with the slideshow and audio during happy hour and dinner; last year we had a Spotify list queued up for easy background audio
these volunteers will simply help assist attendees to their tables if needed.
depending on how many foster dogs and cats we are able to bring to the event, we need a few volunteers who are comfortable with animals to help walk them around, talk to attendees about the animals (and encourage adoption), and take the animals for breaks as needed
– these volunteers will sell 50/50 raffle tickets, and therefore need to be comfortable engaging with the attendees and selling tickets. We will have at least one of these volunteers running a station to process payments for the 50/50 if people don’t have cash (and we will provide a credit card reader).
– these volunteers assist people with silent auction bidding if need be (we use an online auction software, so not too much assistance is usually needed).
these volunteers will assist with clean up after the event. They should expect clean up to begin around 9-9:30, and last year it didn’t take very long at all (maybe an hour).
