Continuing in the final year of the Excellence Administration serving significantly, the sorors of Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter are proud to partner with the Synchronicity Theatre to honor our dear Soror Toni Morrison’s acclaimed work, The Bluest Eye. We are so proud and honored that this city-wide exposure to The Bluest Eye actively recognizes Target IV: The Arts! Initiative.

With this unique adaptation for the stage, The Bluest Eye playwright Lydia R. Diamond delivers the powerful story of Pecola Breedlove, a young dark-skinned African American girl who instinctively believes she can overcome all obstacles with blue eyes. Gripping, thoughtful, and stunning, The Bluest Eye offers a poignant experience for audience members familiar and unfamiliar with this classic novel.

Exclusive live theater performances for members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. are Friday, October 8 and Friday, October 15 at 8:00 pm. Each performance will feature a post-show discussion with the director and cast. Extensive Covid-19 safety protocols that align with Alpha Kappa Alpha guidelines will be in place to help facilitate an enjoyable and safe experience for our members and patrons.
