Pathway of Hope Food Pantry

Project: Unloading, measuring adn/or organizing food donations from Second Harvest Food Bank. Breaking down boxes, cleaning counters, and other light duties as assigend. Pathways of Hope provides access to food, shelter, and housing to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in North Orange County. The HUB of Hope food pantry in Fullerton supports community members in need by providing food and essentials, servinig 80 households daily or about 325 households each week.

 

Event/Volunteer requirements:

(1) One adult volunteer age 18+ must be onsite to supervise younger volunteers. If no adult volunteer signs up at least 1 week before the event date, the event is cancelled.

(2) Every volunteer needs to be able to lift at least 20 lbs.

(3) Paperwork: A signed volunteer waiver and checklist must be turned in by each volunteer upon arrival. (Please download and sign the blank waiver and checklist attached.) 

 

Student attire: SLOB T-shirt if you have one. Closed toe shoes. Bring water, hat, sunglasses if desired. Volunteers will work outside and inside of the food pantry, so please dress accordingly.

Address: 611 S. Ford Ave, Fullerton CA 92832.
(Knock on the far-right blue door of the portable building upon arrival.)

 

Parking: Available in front of the portable building or along the streets. After you park, please ask the POH coordinator for a parking pass to hang in the front car window.

NOTE: City of Fullerton is enforcing parking restrictions. Watch for posted signs on the street about parking. Carpooling is encouraged. Drivers may need to park on Highland or other nearby streets a few blocks away. Please do not block any cars already parked in the parking lots.

 

To cancel a signup up to the day of the event: Cancellations by adult volunteer supervisor is not allowed.  Cancellation by other volunteers are allowed within 3 days before the event is permitted, only if there's an emergency or unexpected sickness. Please notify the SLOBs coordinator if you are cancelling within 3 days before the event or on the day of the event. In all cases of cancellation up to the event date, please use the mobile app or visit www.TrackItForward.com, log in with your username and password, go the event that you signed up for, go to the shift you signed up for, tap on the "+" sign to find your name, then tap the "X" sign next to your name. Once your name is removed from the list, a cancellation email will be sent to the event organizer, and your cancellation is complete.
