Fun Club
Monday, March 09 2026
Fun Club provides a safe place for local refugee and asylee families to learn, play, and grow. Our goal is to help the adults establish a foundation for success through ESL tutoring, job placement advice, cultural conversations, and friendship, while giving children a chance to enjoy age-appropriate activities and homework help. As refugees and volunteers alike forge new friendships, we will dispel stereotypes and build bridges instead of walls. Please take a look through the volunteer opportunities and feel free to select as many or as few as you wish. If you want to volunteer and also drive a car, please consider volunteering to pick up a family on your way to and from Fun Club. There is free parking available and street parking. Please make donations to Jersey City Fun Club at https://www.paypal.me/welcomehomerefugees. Your donations are tax deductible.
If all slots have been claimed, please sign up for another week; be mindful of the space as Fun Club functions primarily for our friends (clients). All student volunteers that are under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
FYI: The sign-up is locked on the day of, for planning purposes so that we don't have last-minute sign-ups and so that we have an idea of how many folks to expect and how much pizza to order!
