GBLA aims to prevent homelessness and illegal evictions, and improve access to the courts for pro per clients. Your volunteer efforts will allow GBLA to provide legal counsel and representation to low-income clients who may not otherwise have access to civil legal aid. For this clinic opportunity, UCLA Law students and alum will have an opportunity to work with our housing team assisting with client intake and preparation of responsive pleadings. This clinic opportunity is remote. Alum who want to do more substantive work may also have an opportunity to provide full representation to clients. A background in California landlord tenant law is a plus.

Prerequisites: Background in California landlord tenant law is a plus; CA bar license for volunteer attorney. Client interviewing; experience with responsive pleadings in unlawful detainer.
