To assess the likelihood of success for claims and available benefits to our veteran clients, Veterans Legal Institute (VLI) has implemented the use of intake questionnaires. These questionnaires gather essential information to determine eligibility for disability compensation, housing, GI bill, health care and other benefits. VLI needs the assistance of community volunteers to help us complete these questionnaires with our clients. The opportunity will begin with a virtual training focusing on how attorneys can assist veterans, along with client interviewing. After the presentation, volunteers will be given a list of client names and contact information for whom intake questionnaires are needed on file. All volunteers must sign a confidentiality agreement. Volunteers will conduct these client interviews remotely and report back to VLI staff at the completion of the opportunity.
