KRDP Community Radio

This is the second part of KRDP's programmer training class. Attendees will learn how to take an idea and develop it into a radio program; the tools that we use to produce a live program (i.e. broadcast clock, program log, live read scripts, Zara Radio, Spinitron, etc.); gain a refresher on the basics of studio production; learn how to properly conduct a radio interview; and observe a portion of a live broadcast; and end with a culminating project where they produce audio content (which will air on a later date).

Once attendees complete this class, they are eligible to produce programming for KRDP Community Radio (Jazz 90.7 FM and Indie Online), including submitting a demo for a new program to be considered for addition to one or both of the station's schedules, if airtime is available.

*KRDP training classes are limited to six registrants per month. First come first served. Training class fee is $15 per person and covers admission to the Level 2 course and lunch. If you have not taken the Level 1 course, you will need to do so before you can register for this Level 2 course.
