*Yarrow Class* All Staff Faculty Lunch 'Soup & Salad' & Hearth Needs

Friday, May 08 2026

Thank you for supporting our wonderful teachers and staff in a very meaningful way: donating food to their Friday Faculty Lunch! Your generosity allows our teachers and staff to share a meal together before they tackle their weekly planning meetings.

SET UP: Set-up can begin in the gym at 11:30. (Lunch is served at 12:30) Please use the silver plates, plastic bowls, and flatware available with the faculty lunch supplies in the 1st grade hearth (please no paper or disposable). There are also serving dishes/trays, table clothes (or you can  bring your own), and vases available if you'd like to add fresh flowers to the table. Remind your parents bringing food items to clearly label them (Vegetarian, Vegan, GF, etc) so you know how to label them on site, as well as to tape label their platters/dishes so they can get returned. Parents should be instructed to pick up their dishes/platters from the school no later than EOD the following Monday.

CLEAN-UP: Clean-up can begin around 1:30. Place the dirty table cloths next to the washer/dryer in the faculty lounge. Return all labels, stands, framed sign and easel, and spot-cleaned table runners back to the faculty lunch supply shelf in the 1st grade hearth. All serving trays/utensils that came from parents should be cleaned and left in the 1st grade hearth. Any leftovers can be packed (you can use paper plates/bowls/foil for this), labeled “faculty lunch leftovers” and dated and put in the faculty fridge. Large tables should be returned under the stairs. If you will not be staying for clean up make sure you pass this information along to whoever will.

HEARTH SNACKS: Complete fulfillment of the track-it-forward would be fantastic - but if you are struggling to fill it, please prioritize faculty lunch first, and hearth second. Remind your parents to give their hearth donations to Kassie at the front office on Friday.

Please be mindful that some staff members have dietary needs, so keep that in mind when planning your meal. Plan on 10-15 Gluten Free, 10-15 Vegan. The total staff count is 120. It is helpful if food is labeled for staff to know what is safe for them to eat. As always, all food at the school needs to be peanut-free. Many, many thanks for your generosity!
