Tree Inventory Team Leader Training: Field Session at Wellington Park

Thank you for volunteering with Portland Parks & Recreation Urban Forestry!

WHAT: This is the second piece of Team Leader Training and will take place at Wellington Park. This workday is for volunteers who have completed the classroom portion of Team Leader Training or who have volunteered as Team Leaders in 2017 or 2018. Returning Team Leaders may attend this event to refresh themselves on protocol and inventory tools.

WHERE: Wellington Park, 6635 NE Mason Street, Portland OR 97218

WHEN: Saturday, June 8. Registration will open at 8:00 AM. The workday will begin promptly at 8:30 and will end at 12 pm.

WHAT TO EXPECT: This is the second piece of Team Leader Training, where newly trained team leaders will practice their identification and protocol skills as we inventory the trees of Wellington Park. Urban Forestry staff will be on hand to answer any and all questions. Please wear close toed shoes and dress for the weather. We will hold this event rain or shine. We recommend bringing a tote bag or backpack, hat, and water bottle. Please leave dogs at home.

If you cannot attend this field session, join us on June 15th for the first workday of the inventory season at Grant Park!
