NTS Pruning Workshop
Saturday, November 15 2025
Join Urban Forestry in this short hands-on structural pruning workshop. Attendees will receive a short instructional course on the structural pruning decision making process from Urban Forestry's certified arborist/training coordinator. We will then break out into small teams to prune several recently planted park trees. These pruning teams will be lead by UF staff and/or volunteer certified arborists who will guide/facilitate the decision-making process for structural pruning trees as well as ensure quality cuts and participant safety.
Note: Due to the condensed nature of this workshop, the main objective will be to provide a refresher and more guided hands-on pruning practice for participants that have previously attended an Urban Forestry pruning workshop. As such, Neighborhood Tree Stewards will be given priority registration.

-Sharp tools, like handsaws, pole snips and pruners, will be used.
-Snacks will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle.

-All tools and gloves will be provided.
