Turf-mageddon: Volunteer Help Needed to Level the Lower Elementary Playground! 

Estimated start: 9:00 a.m. | Duration: 4–5 hours, or until the job is done!

This is a super impactful project that will make our lower elementary playground safer and more enjoyable! We’ll move 15 cubic yards of soil (about 130–150 wheelbarrow loads!) to fill uneven areas, then rake, level, overseed, and mulch to help the turf grow back.

We need 8–12+ committed volunteers ready-to-shovel-and-haul-until-the-job-is-done. We can’t order the soil until we know we have enough help to get this project done in a single work party! Note: this one is an all-hands on deck, adults-only work party. 

Please bring your own shovels and wheelbarrows! We only have two wheelbarrows, so we need volunteers to bring their own equipment (this will make a HUGE difference!).
