La Salle College Preparatory

Our last Parent Association meeting is scheduled for 6pm on Tuesday, April 16th. We hope that you can join us in-person or remotely via zoom. Parents attending in person will receive 2 hours and via zoom 1 hour volunteer credit. In-person will be in the dining hall starting at 6:00pm to allow for parents to mingle and grab some food. Please enter through the lower gate on Michillinda. Remote meeting via zoom will begin at 6:30pm. The zoom link will be included in last week's parent communication bulletin.

-Our 'headliner' speakers are Mr. Edward Magluyan, Vice Principal of Academic Management Systems, and Mrs. Kjersti Holyfield, Vice Principal of Curriculum, and they will be presenting the benefits of the new bell schedule for next school year. They will also be taking your questions so this is a great opportunity to get a jump start on this pending change.
-We will hear from the Crystal Ball Committee about the importance of our upcoming, and the 25th annual, Gala fundraiser taking place May 3rd at the Langham in Pasadena. This is La Salle's biggest fund-raising initiative of the year and there are many ways each of us can help make it a success for our school.
-There will be a quick update from Appa Health on their 'Peer Mental Health' research project, including testimonials, and a link for those wishing to 'opt-in'. Participation is free to current La Salle students due to a $2M grant Appa Health was awarded for this program and they will get an honorarium for participating.
-Learn about the Parent Association's biggest initiative of the school year: Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week. Find out how you can help us honor those that do so much for our students all year!
-Lastly, the 2024-2025 Executive Board Officers for the Parent Association will be announced.
