La Salle College Preparatory

A great big welcome to all new parents and welcome back to all returning parents on behalf of the La Salle High School Athletics Boosters. The boosters organization is preparing for the 2018 LSHS Football Season and is seeking volunteers for the upcoming varsity home games. It takes numerous volunteers for each home game that will benefit all our players, students, fans and visitors. Parents have been tremendous in helping out in the past and we’re hoping that everyone will be generous with their time this season. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, to get involved with the school and to start completing the annual parent volunteer requirements.

We will need volunteers for the following La Salle High School Varsity home games:
Friday, 8/24/18 7pm vs. Salesian High School
Friday, 8/31/18 7pm vs. Birmingham Charter High School
Friday, 10/5/18 7pm vs. St. Anthony High School
Friday, 10/26/18 7pm vs. Harvard Westlake

We will need volunteers for the following assignments:
- Pregame shopper – shop for game day snack bar supplies and inventory 1 to 2 days prior to the game (1-2 volunteers)
- Set up – set up tables, canopies, cones, and snack bar areas (6 volunteers from 4:30pm-6pm)
- Security – oversee entrances/exits, parking lots, stadium and keep spectators in appropriate area (24 people with shifts starting from 5pm to the end of the game)
- Ticket Sales – for upper parking lot and field level entrances (6 volunteers starting from 5:30pm – 4th Qtr)
- Snack bar cashiers – sell food and beverage tickets for snack bar/grill (4 volunteers 5:30pm – end of game)
- Snack bar workers – fill snack and beverage orders in exchange for tickets (8 volunteers starting from 5:30 – end of game)
- Snack bar BBQ - prepare grilled items for sale in exchange for tickets (5-6 volunteers starting from 5:30 – end of game)
- Game day runner – assist operations coordinator with restocking, store runs, fill in for areas as needed (1 volunteer-5:00pm – end of game)
- Clean up crew – strike down and put away all equipment starting in the 4th quarter

*The Athletics Boosters is also seeking enthusiastic parents who are interested in taking on an active role in home game operations for all sporting events or taking on a leadership role with the boosters’ organization.
