Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
Thursday, September 24, 2026
A small Mid-Autumn Festival celebration will take place on Thursday, Sep. 24, from 12:20–1:00 pm in the Amphitheater during lunchtime.
This year's event will feature traditional riddles in three languages — Spanish, French, and Chinese. Students who correctly answer a set number of riddles will receive a treat (mini mooncakes, candy, or snacks). The Linguistic Center will prepare all the riddles and activity materials.
Volunteers needed:
8 volunteers for table set-up and staffing activity booths, and clean-up (11:00 am – 1:00 pm)
Donations needed:
Mini-mooncakes (no peanut or traditional nuts filling, please — individually wrapped with ingredient labels preferred, so students with allergies can check): 200 pieces (at least 4 pieces each box, if with boxes pack)
Bottled water (small size): 5 packages
Boxes of individual snacks (e.g., potato chips): 5 boxes
Fruit candy: 10 bags
Paper napkins: 5 packages
Please see the sign-up opportunities below to volunteer or donate. If you sign up to volunteer, your specific assignment and details will be emailed to you on Tuesday, Sep. 22.
As a reminder, you earn one service hour for every $20 donated.
