Care Kits for Children
Hosted by TUCOM Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) Chapter X TUCOM Psychiatry Interest Group
In Celebration of National DO Day (Week) of Service at TUCOM-CA
As part of TUCOM-CA’s participation in National DO Day (Week) of Service (NDODS), the TUCOM Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) and TUCOM Psychiatry Interest Group invite you to join us in assembling care kits for children hospitalized at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Each kit will include a variety of sensory and welcome items such as fidget toys, art supplies, and games, meant to offer a sense of comfort, joy, and stimulation to young patients. Whether it is a squishy toy, a coloring activity, or a deck of cards, these small gifts can help brighten a child’s day. No experience is needed. Just bring your energy, kindness, and willingness to help.
National DO Day of Service (NDODS) is a nationwide initiative organized through the Translating Osteopathic Understanding into Community Health (TOUCH) program by the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP) in collaboration with AACOM. At TUCOM-CA, this week of service is coordinated by COMSEC VP of Community Outreach and features events led by TUC student clubs and organizations.
Special thanks to TUCOM SOMA Chapter and TUCOM Psychiatry Interest Group for organizing and leading this event as part of our campus-wide celebration of osteopathic service.
Join us in making a difference, one care kit at a time.
For any questions, feel free to contact Ravinder Singh, COMSEC VP of Community Outreach at tucom.vpcommunityoutreach@tu.edu.
