Wine & Swine: American Cancer Society Relay For Life

About the Event:
"Wine & Swine" is an annual fundraiser for the American Relay for Life team "Angels In Our Hearts", held at James Arthur Vineyards near Raymond, NE. A $30 ticket gets you a meal comprised of pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, baked beans and a cupcake for dessert. All of the food for the event has been donated by Phat Jack’s BBQ (based out of Lincoln). We have live music by The B. Street Band (unplugged). Your ticket also gets you 6 wine tastings served by wine pourers. There will be a silent auction, as well as luminaries sold in the color of your choosing. Additionally, speakers from the American Cancer Society will be attending and sharing their stories.
What will Volunteers be Doing:
At 5:00 pm volunteers will be helping to setup and get the food ready to serve. There will be tents and tables to setup as well. Once the event begins volunteers will serve wine, serve food, and perform other miscellaneous tasks such as dumping trash cans and helping with silent auction items. Each volunteer will get water, full meal and wine tasting (if of age).
Volunteers Needed:
- Eight volunteers will be needed from 5:00-9:00 pm (we already have 3 and need 8 more). Last year I think the volunteers were able to go home around 8pm.
