Background Check

Authorization & Disclosure of Background Check: *

Purpose: To ensure the safety and security of our patrons, employees, and property, the Reif Arts Council, Inc. ("the Company") will conduct a background check on individuals applying to volunteer or accepting a part-time position at The Reif in Grand Rapids, MN. Notice Under Minnesota Law: Pursuant to Minnesota law, you have the right to request, in writing, a complete and accurate disclosure of the nature and scope of the background check conducted. Authorization to Conduct Background Check: By signing,, I acknowledge that I have read and fully understand this Background Check Disclosure & Authorization Form. I hereby authorize the Company to conduct a background check on me in connection with my volunteer application. I further authorize the Company to obtain background check information from sources other than the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, without the need for additional authorization, as permitted by law. I agree that a copy of this form shall be as valid as the original signed version. The Reif Performing Arts Center opens doors to a wide variety of art experiences. It features live music, theater and dance as well as an art gallery. It is a regional attraction drawing people from over 100 miles for regular performances.
Each year, the Reif hosts more than 50 national and international touring performances, representing a diverse range of artistic disciplines, including musicians, classical and contemporary dancers, musical theater, children’s theater, comedy – the list goes on! In addition, we also host performances by local music, theater and dance organizations and school groups.
After completing a grand renovation and expansion project in the Spring of 2016, the Reif Center is now home to two stages: the Wilcox Theater, seating 700, and the Ives Studio Theater, an intimate space seating 200.
