Volunteer for Pamlico Teen Court!

Friday, September 27 2024

Classroom disruptions can prevent students from learning. Suspensions and expulsions are harmful to a student’s learning also. Join us and be part of the solution.

Peer Jury Panels and Peer Accountability, both Restorative Justice (RJ) Practices, provide accountability for those students causing harm by their actions. Additionally, they are obligated to repair the harm they caused through sanctions assigned by the peer jury, or other actions identified within the circle process.

Once a student completes the sanctions, any charge they were facing goes away; they have a clean slate. With this second chance comes the opportunity to begin again.

Join us for training in both these processes and become a part of the solution while giving back to your community! Training is Friday, September 27th, 5:30pm-8:30pm. Volunteers must be in grades 6-12 and enrolled in a District Public, Private, Charter or Homeschool.
