Dr. Glynn Percival, Bartlett Tree Research Lab, will speak on the potential benefits and limitations of modern soil amendments, with a focus on improving soil health, supporting root development, and increasing tree resilience to drought, heat, pests, and disease. Having all experienced this spring’s extreme regional drought—and seen the stress it puts on early spring plantings and our own gardens—Dr. Percival’s insights on building tree resilience against climate change and urban environments couldn’t be more timely.
