Dr. Susan Day is a consultant and and university professor with more than 30 years experience working with urban trees and and soils. She is an expert on soil health and its critical impact on tree growth and longevity. Her research, conducted primarly through Virginia Tech's Urban Forest Ecosystems Lab, has been widely adopted by municipalities--including Richmoond--to combat soil degradation. Join us for an insightful talk on what’s happening beneath the surface and why it matters for the trees we plant and care for.
