Fruit Tree Specialists Kick-off Meeting

The Department of Parks & Rec has asked our help in pruning fruit trees in the city's 30 community gardens. Our task is to understand the need (how many gardens? how many trees? what species?) and get ourselves trained in winter fruit-tree pruning. The eventual goal is to establish a corps of fruit tree specialists trained in the spectrum of fruit tree care. This could be a niche group within Tree Stewards, or we may want to include community gardeners or other partners. Come help build this program and gain new skills.
