Tree Planting at Smith-Peters Park

Please join us in greening Smith-Peters Park, in the Carver neighborhood. This project was developed by our 2025 trainees who live in Districts 1 & 2. Parks & Rec will provide the funding and support for planting 13 native trees in the park. We hope to make this a neighborhood event, so skilled planters are especially welcome to assist novice planters. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, closed-toe shoes, bring a water bottle and prepare to get dirty! Rain date is April 10.

Location: Smith-Peters Park, 904 Catherine Street, Richmond, VA 23220
for experienced planters, we may not need to stay late depending on how quickly we finish planting
