Richmond Tree Stewards

Please join us for a day of service in honor of a young local arborist. This event draws local arborist companies, Parks & Rec and park friend groups collectively working to improve a park. This year, Tree Stewards have been asked to help Capital Trees with  planting 14 native trees. We will be assisting other volunteers to assure proper planting and provide quality control.

LOCATION: (SEE MAP) The planting is happening in the grassy field next to the dog park, Barker Field, circled in YELLOW. Parks will be blocking off the entire Dogwood Dell parking lot, but you should enter at the entrance marked with the GREEN ARROW. Park in the lighter GREEN area to be the most out of the way for the tree work slated (or just follow the directions of the person who will be opening/closing the barricade to the parking lot since things might change that morning).
