Measure a Great Old Tree with Virginia Dept. of Forestry

Our weekday pruning crew recently spotted a grand old white oak in a private yard and alerted the folks who track large trees at VDoF. We don't expect this to be a champion, but its size is notable. The homeowners believe the tree is at least 100 years old and have carefully tended the tree for 45 years.
