Encouraging and accepting canned / non-perishable food and dry goods donations (diapers / wipes / feminine hygiene products) from shoppers at Lowes Foods on Capital Blvd. in WF to help Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry keep its shelves stocked for those who struggle with Food Insecurity in our community.

The technical description for Food Insecurity is “the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.” Think of the kids whose parents earn just a little too much to qualify for SNAP but not enough to reliably put food on the table when faced with spending choices such as rent, utilities, etc. These are the 85,000 food insecure kids in Rotary District 7710.
