Parents Guild Core Team 25-26
The RMS Parents Guild Core Team leads the Parents Guild in it's mission to serve the school community by planning and executing events and other ways of connecting the families to provide support for each other, opportunities for fellowship, encouragement and growth in their mission as parents.
The Core Team as a whole meets once in the spring/summer to plan a calendar of events for the upcoming year.

1. Liaise with the school administration and sends emails to the parent community facilitating communication about volunteer opportunities and events
2. With administration, creates Track It Forward sign up for the various positions and needs in the Spring/Summer for the next year.
3. During the summer, meets with the administration and core team signed up to help in the various areas to coordinate efforts and draft a calendar of events for the year
4.Facilitates ongoing communication of the core team via email or What’s App
5.Is present at Welcome Back Picnic and Orientation to help parents know about what is needed and sign up
1.Assists Guild President with all of the above duties
2. Is present at Welcome Back Picnic and Orientation to help parents know about what is needed and sign up
1.Recruits volunteers for the following school events where refreshments, decor and set up are needed:
~Parent Back to School Orientation
~Phase In Parent Coffee and Donuts
~Back to School Bonfire
~Silent Journey
~Winter Parent Workshop
~Spring school concert/Grandparents Day
~Graduation and End of the Year Potluck
2. Organize Meal Trains for families with new babies or experiencing illnesses
3. Is present at Welcome Back Picnic and Orientation to help parents know about what is needed and sign up
1.Mentor new parents coming into the classroom
~Reach out during the summer to introduce themselves and answer any questions;help them navigate entry into the classroom
~Meet and greet new families at Welcome Back Picnic and Parent Orientation and introduce them to others parents in the class
2.Plan one social event for the families in that classroom in the fall and in the spring
~The four coordinators can work together to combine if desired.
~These events can happen on campus or off based on individual needs and desires. Timing is based on determined needs within that community.
3.Assist teachers with Thanksgiving Tea

1.Organizing communal prayer and worship opportunities to support the mission of RMS and build spiritual connection among the diversity of community members.
2.Organize one book club per year for parents in the fall or spring when the weather is nice and the children can play outside mostly unsupervised while parents talk.
