5th Saturday Exercise

9:00am - 12:00pm
Flooding

A major heat wave is occurring in Washington State. Temperatures are peaking between 107 and 112 degrees in the lowlands and in the 90’s in the mountains, Camp Muir on Mt Rainier at 10,000 ft has recorded 86 degrees. This extreme temperature condition has accelerated the snow-pack melt-off and glacial runoff into several major Western Washington rivers, the Carbon, Puyallup, Nisqually and Deschutes among the most notable. Water levels are dangerously high and local flooding is a possibility.
