Holiday themed exhibition. Skaters will be showcasing their own choreography and creativity. Times will be added once event has been finalized.
Volunteers needed to decorate, set up snacks and help skaters. Some opportunities can be completed in the days/weeks prior to the event
decorate the rink prior to the event--set up trees, holiday decor
run lights for the show, opportunities available to learn how to do stage lighting
Play the music for each skater during the show from a playlist.
monitor the treats table, keep things filled up and tidy
on-ice parent helpers (must be safesport certified) to supervise open skate following the exhibition
Clean up the rink after the show. Take down all of the holiday decor
bake or buy $10 worth of cookies for 30 minutes volunteer equivalent. Deliver cookies on event day to the rink
$10 worth of hot chocolate mix= 30 minutes volunteer time. (Deliver to the rink on event day or any time before)
donate $10 disposable hot cocoa cups= 30 minutes volunteer credit (Deliver by 1pm to the rink on event day or any time before)
bring in a box of plastic spoons, a stack of small paper plates, and a package of napkins ($10 worth in total for 30 minutes volunteer time)
We receive donation requests from various local schools and programs. We need volunteers to reach out to these contacts and confirm what items they accept. This ensures we can match donations appropriately. We have a list of last years contacts we can provide to anyone interested in these hours!
After the show, we’ll need volunteers to deliver collected donations to the schools and programs (in the past IM Schools, Norway, Kingsford, North Dickinson).
