Fundraising Team

This committee is responsible for the school’s primary fundraising activities (Annual Fund and Auction) in cooperation with the school’s Director of Development, Karen Rizkalla.

Annual Fund Campaign Team
This team manages the school’s largest fundraiser. A direct ask campaign is run in the fall timeframe and this team develops the collateral and messaging, assists with communication to parents, etc. (25 hrs)

Party Enthusiast PS
This preschool parent helps encourage families and alumni to host parties and later to sign up to attend them. The job entails contacting past party hosts to ask if they are planning something for this year, talking with new parents about hosting/attending parties, manning a table at drop-off or pick up where people can ask questions about party hosting, etc. The Director of Development will provide training and support. (25 hrs)

Auction Item Acquisition team members
This job is to solicit and collect silent and live auction items. This work can often be done after hours so is a good job for working parents and can be done for as many hours as desired. The Director of Development will provide training, letter templates and a list of contacts.

Auction Party committee
The Auction Party committee will help determine the theme, decorations, menu, raffle/games, etc. for this year’s 30th anniversary party and live auction on March 23rd. (1 to 25 hours)

Student artwork/grade project team
This volunteer will work with the teachers and students of their grade level, assisting with the design and creation of items for the auction (e.g., artwork, storybooks, notecards, tea towels). The Director of Development will provide training and support. (1 to 25 hours).

This team approaches local businesses about advertising in the auction party catalog/program. This work can often be done after after hours so is a good job for working parents and can be done for as many hours as desired.
