Climate Cares Beach Cleanups- Silver Strand Beach -Second Sunday of the Month
Join ASCENDtials for our monthly Beach Cleanup at our adopted beach, Silver Strand Beach, where volunteers help protect San Diego’s coastline through hands‑on stewardship. This event supports our mission to build environmental awareness, cultural healing, and community responsibility through direct action.
Volunteers remove debris, sort recyclables, track microplastics, and learn about the impact of pollution on local ecosystems. This cleanup is part of ASCENDtials’ ongoing stewardship rhythm, held on the first and second weekends of each month, and contributes to regional conservation efforts.
All ages welcome. Community service hours available.

- Youth & Family Support Volunteer — Assist families, guide youth activities, and ensure safety.
- Setup & Breakdown Volunteer — Prepare materials, set up the welcome table, and restore the site afterward.
