National Down Syndrome Congress Convention

Friday, July 22 2016

The DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL FLORIDA is the local affiliate host for the NDSC conventionwhere we expect over 2500 attendees, and we need the support of over 500 volunteers to make it successful!
Most importantly is support for our Youth & Adults Conference and Kids’ Camp. The Youth & Adults
Conference provides individuals with Down syndrome ages 15 and older with a convention experience where they learn and participate in activities planned and presented by their peers. Kids’ Camp provides activities forchildren ages 6 months to 9 years (14 years for those with Down syndrome) while their parents participate in the General Convention.
In order to provide the best experience for over 500 youth & adults with Down syndrome, we need extensive support over the three days. No previous experience is necessary just flexibility, the desire to interact directly with people with Down syndrome, and the willingness to have fun! Volunteers must be age 18 or over.
