Game Changer is a Nerd nonprofit that teaches kids ages 11-17 how to learn through play. We take unplugged table-top games and infuse them with an academic and social-emotional curriculum, so our students can understand that learning is a life-long, fun endeavor.
Game Changer is seeking fun, affable volunteers for our 2016 After-School Adventures program at the Downtown Orlando Library, Monday-Thursday from 4-6pm. If you like working with kids this program is for you! If you know a thing or two about table-top games then this program is ESPECIALLY for you. The first hour of the program is devoted to academic tutoring, where you’ll be assisting students with their homework. The latter hour is devoted to our game-based learning, where we let our students (and volunteers!) unwind for an hour, and play some fun games! You’ve never volunteered for a program like this before!
