The Seniors Committee,
The National Church Residences are looking to do an event with the seniors to sign the up for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)
THE ACP is a FCC program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more.
The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price.
The training for the ACP program will be February 23 at 6pm. The training should last 30 minutes `but we allocated 1 hour. The event at Big Bethel will occur February 28 from 12pm-4pm. We will need approximately 5-10 volunteers. Your duties will be to assist residents with completing the ACP application and runner for scanning documents to complete the process.
