***Community Impact Day- Pink Goes Red for Heart Health

Go Red for Heart Health Day through the American Heart Association, an official partner of Alpha Kappa

Alpha Sorority, was celebrated through the Pink Goes Red Campaign. TEO joined with the brothers of

Eta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. along with our Sorors from Kappa Omega Chapter

of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to host an evening of heart health information. Attendees did Tai-Chi

and Yoga and as well as performed hands-only CPR training followed by an interactive dialogue about

how to reclaim health lifestyles individually and collectively.The event was well attended with ~125

attendees. A survey was administered with the results being favorable. A special thank you to Soror

Jann Eldridge and the Health Promotions Committee ensuring a successful event.
