2020 Inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Parade and Census Rally (arrival at 11am to participate in parade)
Monday, January 20 2020
The City of South Fulton is planning its inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Parade and Census Rally. The event will be held on the MLK National Holiday, Monday, January 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the corner of Old National Highway and Bethsaida Road.
The Divine Nine organizations are asked to participate in both events to help us celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision to improve both African American communities and the world at large. This year marks the 51st anniversary of Dr. King’s death and the city’s first parade to recognize his impactful contributions to society.
The parade will begin at Walmart located at 6149 Old National Highway, College Park, GA 30349 and end in the parking lot of Grown Folks at 5495 Old National Highway, where the rally will be held. Following the parade, the Census 2020 Rally will be held to increase awareness about the census and why it is important to the citizens of the City of South Fulton. Attendees are asked to arrive at 11am.
Please join us as we celebrate the enduring legacy of Dr. King and raise awareness about the census and its importance to our city.
