GLOBAL IMPACT: Books For For Africa

Saturday, March 24 2018

Project Coordinator: Soror Eyvon C. Austin - 678-642-8941

Access to an education is one of the only opportunities young people have to end the cycle of poverty and attain a better quality of life than previous generations. Books for Africa works to help children who otherwise would not attend school by supplying educational materials to reduce or eliminate education costs.

We are excited to again partner with Books for Africa and will have 2 service shifts. You are welcome to choose one or both! The facility (warehouse) is not heated/air-conditioned, so please dress accordingly based on the weather that day (closed-toe shoes ARE REQUIRED and AKA paraphernalia is encouraged). The organization will provide a briefing on the mission to end the book famine in Africa, directions on sorting the books and we will then begin to then sort and pack books for shipment.
