"Reading Across the Curriculum" takes place annually during National Reading Month (March) and mobilizes leaders in media, entertainment, business, politics, higher education, U.S. Armed Forces and the nonprofit world to read to students in local Title I schools to emphasize the importance of literacy.

This year, the event will take place on March 2 at Continental Colony Elementary School located at 3181 Hogan Rd Sw, Atlanta, GA 30331 near Greenbriar Mall. We will be reading between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. We ask that readers participate for at least one hour.

This event is done in collaboration with the schools's media specialist, Sylvia Camille Pierce, who is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Attendees include Good Day Atlanta Anchor Constance Jones, and V-103 reporter Maria Boyton. Also joining us are representatives from CNN, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Rolling Out, Morehouse College, U.S. Air Force, Atlanta Police Department, Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Connect, SAI Global and more.
