Please join us for the March 2026 YLI / AKAdettes Committee Meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
During this meeting, we will focus on final planning and coordination for our upcoming March and April youth sessions in alignment with the Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) framework.
Our discussion will include:
Module 3 – Planting for the Planet (Environmental Project)
• Final logistics for our March 28 offsite gardening project at Nede Cascade Urban Farm
• Assigning Environmental Leads
• Ensuring documentation, before/after photos
Module 2 – Expressing Your Best Self in Everyday Life (Life Skills Experience)
Planning for our April session, which will focus on:
• Dress for Success Workshop/Public Speaking Skills
• Financial Basics (Needs vs. Wants, Budgeting Game, Introduction to Banking)
• Confidence-building and independence development
We will also review volunteer roles, supplies, and engagement strategies to ensure our sessions remain youth-led, interactive, and impactful.
Please come prepared with:
• Icebreaker ideas
• Activity enhancements
• Suggestions for leadership assignments for the girls
