VBWFF at Sunrise Rotary's Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest!

Saturday, February 15 2020

VBWFF volunteers will once again help at Sunrise Rotary's 9th annual Florida Craft Brew & Wingfest. Such a delicious event - and fun, too! Volunteers essentially have three main duties:
1) help to pour beer (only to those with bracelets, of course)
2) talk up/effectively promote our WEST FEST and FEST 2020 & hand out VBWFF rack cards (all while we pour with smiles on our faces!)
3) have fun!

There are some event rules to follow. And, so even though the event doesn't begin until 11:30am, the first shift volunteers are required to be there early to attend a training session & learn the specific event rules. (See shifts section for specific times)

Please note: First shift volunteers cannot skip the orientation @10am.

Please be SURE to wear your VBWFF 2019 Volunteer tshirts with black or white pants. As you will be doing a lot of standing, wear comfortable shoes. They are expecting huge crowds - last year they had over 12,000+. There will be plenty of food for purchase either before or after your shift, but please, not during.

Event held at the Royal Palm Pointe.

PLEASE READ THESE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED BY ROTARY

If you are a volunteer or working a sponsor tent the morning or whole day, please arrive early at one of the parking sights listed below at approximately 9:30am or earlier. There will be signs and Rotarians directing traffic to the parking area.

PARC 24 (parking building), 405 24th Street. The walk to Royal Palm Point ticket area will be 0.4 mile, ~ 11 mins.
Tent assignments and a required orientation for people handling beer will start at 10:00am sharp at the EAST stage on Royal Palm Point (head towards the fountains).

For Sponsors & Volunteers arriving in the afternoon (01:00pm to 04:00pm):
Please park your car at:
PARC 24 (parking building), 405 24th Street.

If you do not want to walk to Royal Palm Point (.4 mile, ~11 mins), we will have bus service from the east side of PARC 24, (parking building) all day, every few minutes. This will bring you to the ticket center where you will disembark.

If you are a Celebrity Pourer working go to your tent and get hand off instructions for the beers being served from the early shift Celebrity Pourers. If you are a Volunteer in need of a job or have no clue where to help, head directly to the ticket area. There will be a Rotary representative our “Ticket Expediters” that will guide you to a volunteer check-in point.

Volunteers please remember, due to the size of the event and that it is all volunteer run we will do our best to place you where you can support the charities and have fun but PLEASE BE FLEXIBLE, it is all for a great cause.

Please, volunteers are encouraged not to consume alcoholic beverages during the event hours.

If at any time you have a question look for a RED HAT Rotarian, under that hat is a wealth of knowledge and they may even be able to answer your questions too.
